About this Course

On-ice sessions are designed to promote the development and refinement of hockey specific technical skills. Skating instruction focuses on forward and backward stride technique and mechanics, agility and quickness, starts, acceleration, transitions and deceleration. Program will also include shooting and stick handling instruction through age appropriate progressions. Led by 500 game NHL veteran and Stanley Cup winner (in 2019 as scout for the St Louis Blues), Coach Rick Lanz. Social distancing will be required by all participants on ice; the Richmond Oval and Leslie Global Sports will be taking precautions to get hockey player's back on the ice safely.
